If you are one of the SASSA R350 Grant beneficiaries and you don’t know how to check your grant status, then this article is for you as we will be walking you through how to check your R350 Grant Status, to know if you have been approved to receive your grant.
The President declared the National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard he introduced a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month for 6 months to be paid to individuals who are currently unemployed, do not receive any form of income, social grant, or UIF payment, etc.

R350 Grants are targeted at categories of people who are vulnerable to poverty and in need of state support. These are older people, people with disabilities, and children.
SASSA has now begun addressing payment issues. One million applicants will have already received their due by the end of this week.
The Department of Social Development (DSD) has expressed worry over the backlog in R350 grant appeal applications being paid. Sassa has now announced that payments have begun.
Despite continuing to pay out the current cycle of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) appeared to be experiencing difficulties with processing the backlog of appeal payments.
Sassa said on Wednesday that payments for R350 grant appeals are now officially beginning, following months of delays that began in August 2021.

1. To check your Sassa grant status, kindly visit https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.
2. Input your South African id number for the application
3. Input your Phone number used to submit your application
4. Click the submit button and your grant status will display.
