1. Bristol University Think Big Scholarships

Bristol University is investing £500,000 to help the brightest and best international students come to the University of Bristol. Think Big Undergraduate scholarships and Think Big Postgraduate scholarships are available for courses starting in 2022.

Eligibility:

You can apply for a Think Big Scholarship if you:

  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
  • have applied to start any full-time Undergraduate programme, excluding Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science, or any one-year, full-time Postgraduate programme at the University of Bristol in September 2022.

2. Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals

The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), a new scholarship programme that replaces the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS) offers scholarships to a large number of master’s programmes at Swedish Universities in the Autumn semester of 2022.

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals aims to develop future global leaders that will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contribute to positive and sustainable development in their home countries and region.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for SISGP:

  • You must be a citizen of a country that is eligible for SI scholarships (see above).
  • You must have had at least 3,000 hours of work experience prior to 10 February 2022 from a maximum of three organisations/companies.
  • You must apply for a Master’s programme eligible for SI scholarships (see above). The university gives priority to programmes within certain subject areas, depending on your country of citizenship.
  • You must have demonstrated leadership experience from your current or previous employment or from civil society engagements.
  • You must be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities, have followed the steps of University Admissions and be admitted to one of the eligible master’s programmes by the 7 of April 2022.

3. American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship

The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is targeted at high-achieving international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in the US and who are dedicated to positive civic and social change. It is intended for students who will be to returning home to improve under-resourced, underserved communities in his/her home country.

Eligibility:

Preference will be given to:

  1. International students who have overcome various obstacles and challenges as well as those from diverse and underrepresented global and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  2. A minimum 3.8 GPA equivalent (or in the top 10% of graduating class) for 9th-12th grades.
  3. A demonstrated commitment to leadership, volunteerism, community service and to advancing the needs of people in their home country.
  4. Students with one of the following: 95+ TOEFL iBT (all subscores must be 20 or above); sub-scores of 24+ on the paper-based TOEFL (Taken after May 31, 2017); 7.0+ IELTS (all subscores must be 6.0 or above); 33 minimum SAT Reading Subscore; 29 minimum ACT English; 65 minimum PTE; or 120+ Duolingo
  5. Students who are still enrolled in secondary/high school and graduating by June 2022.
  6. Important: Students in the IB system should plan to graduate with a full IB diploma with at least 3 HL subjects. Students studying in the British A-Levels system must complete at least 3 A levels and finish 13 years of study before August 2022.

4. Lund University Global Scholarship Programme

The Lund University Global Scholarship programme is a selective, merit-based scholarship programme that recognizes top academic students from outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who wish to apply for a Bachelor’s or Master’s Programme offered at Lund University.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • You must be a citizen of a country from outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) and are required to pay a tuition fee

Uppsala University will award several scholarships for fee-paying students applying for Master’s programmes commencing in the autumn of 2022.  One of these scholarship programs is the Uppsala University Global Scholarships, formerly known as Uppsala IPK Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
  • You must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.
  • You can only be awarded an Uppsala University Global Scholarship for a Master’s programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority (the programme which you have ranked the highest of the four programmes you can choose at University Admissions).
  • You must have applied for the Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.
  • You must meet the entry requirements for the Master’s programme you applied for. The application fee and your complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.
