Ministry Set To Train Exited Npower Beneficiaries For NEXIT Loan Disbursement

In today’s Npower news, the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk has made known that her Ministry will begin the training for the exited Batch A and B N-power beneficiaries in October 2021.

The Minister disclosed this on Wednesday during Chatham House Africa Programme via responding to a question from Bethel Chigbo.

The Minister noted that following the collaboration of the Central Bank of Nigeria in the execution of the NEXIT Plan popularly known as NEXIT Loan, the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry is at the point of training the N-power Beneficiaries who have registered and selected skills for the NEXIT Loan Programme.

She went further to explain that the central idea of the NEXIT Plan is to give Soft Loans to the exited N-power Beneficiaries of which 390,000 out of the 500,000 batch A and B N-power beneficiaries have been successfully accommodated in the NEXIT Programme.

The Minister also stated that about 109,000 of the 500,000 exited Batch A and B N-power beneficiaries are already into entrepreneurship and are doing their businesses.

Speaking on the plans of the Ministry after Training of the exited N-power Beneficiaries, the Minister stated that the beneficiaries will be provided with Starter Packs to enable them to start their business after the straining, adding that her Ministry will also establish their business modules.
