According to Nasims, its attention has been drawn to false speculation gaining wide circulation that, the payment of outstanding stipends currently in progress to Npower beneficiaries is for electoral inducement to vote for a particular candidate.
Please note, the above statement is false, misleading, and extremely wrong, and should be disregarded in its entirety. Recall that the payment was suspended months ago as a result of a fund diversion case which has been resolved hence the resumption, Nasims said.
It is also crucial to note that the Npower program is one of the NSIP schemes introduced and set up by President Muhammadu Buhari from the time memorial for the purpose of lifting millions of youths out of unemployment and poverty. Gladly, this program has been running for years with recorded success and not because of the 2023 General elections.
To this end, beneficiaries are by this post enjoined to proceed to their polling units and vote for any candidate of their choice tomorrow 25th February 2023.
