ARUP Education Trust Bursary Programme 2023 For South Africans

The Trust is committed to the advancement of women through education and at least 50% of each year’s beneficiaries must be women. No beneficiary is required to work for Arup but they are required to study toward a degree in the built environment.

All candidates are required to remain in South Africa for three years, post-graduation, thereby contributing to the country as a whole.

Application Criteria

To qualify for an Arup Education Trust bursary, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be a South African citizen from a designated group (Black African, Coloured, Indian/Asian, disabled) as per South Africa’s B-BBEE codes
  • Must be studying towards a degree in the built environment (engineering, architecture, construction studies, quantity surveying, town planning, etc.)
  • Parents/guardians of the applicant must have a combined household net income of less than R15,000 per month
  • First-year students are welcome to apply
  • Academic excellence is vital

Should you meet the above criteria, please ensure that you have the following documents available in PDF format and that each document is less than 2MB in size:

Required Documents

  • South African ID Card
  • Matric Certificate (or latest matric results)
  • Latest Academic Transcript from the University (if you are at the University)
  • Latest Tuition Statement (if you are at University)
