2022 UTME Results Of 1.4 Million Candidates To Be Released Soon – JAMB

Flippstack reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that more than 1.4 million candidates have successfully sat for the ongoing 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, assuring that their results will soon be released to the respective candidates.

According to the Board which noted that the 1.4 million candidates have so far taken the examination across the nation as of May 9, 2022, with examination towns and centres completing their own allotted number of candidates for the year, while the results of sessions already taken would be released to the respective candidates soon.

JAMB in its weekly bulletin made available to newsmen by the spokesperson of the Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, however, said these results would be released with a caveat that after preview of the CCTV footage of the conduct of the examination, the result of any candidate found wanting would be withdrawn if it had been released or withheld if not yet released.

The Board added that as the examination progresses, it was pleased to announce that there have not been significant concerns as the reports coming from the states established the veracity of the earlier reports received from various centres’ accreditation teams.

The Board reiterates its zero-tolerance for examination infractions and urged candidates to conduct themselves properly and follow all laid down rules guiding the Board’s examination.

The 2022 UTME had commenced on Friday last week nationwide, with a total number of 1.7 million candidates registered to sit for the examination nationwide. 2022 UTME Results

How to Check JAMB UTME Results Online

You can now access your 2022 JAMB UTME Results via SMS or ONLINE. Kindly follow the steps outlined below to access your UTME score.

1. Visit the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) result checking portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults

2. Supply your Registration Number/Email Address in the required column

3. Click on the ‘Check My Results’ button to access your UTME results notification

If your result is ready, the portal will return your JAMB Notification of Result. You can then proceed with the printing of the result

How to Check JAMB Result 2022 Online Via SMS

All candidates can now send UTMERESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). The result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.

The following are the responses to be expected:

1. If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
2. A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
3. If a result is withheld, a “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate.
4. If a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
5. If a candidate was absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
6. A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
7. “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.
