SPG Indonesia 4th Cycle of Small Grants Programme

The Penabulu Grant Management is pleased to launch a call for proposals for the 4th cycle of the Small Grants Programme (SGP) to focus on improving community livelihoods including the development of eco-tourism in 12 villages around the Park biodiversity conservation.

About The Programme

Small Grant Program in Indonesia (SGP Indonesia) is a program of cooperation between the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB) and the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the form of the Small Grant Program which includes biodiversity conservation programs and livelihood.

Funding support for this program was obtained from The German Government through German / KfW Financial Cooperation. SGP Indonesia invited all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Indonesia to submit proposals for support funding in the form of Small Grants for the Conservation Program in the ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP) region of Indonesia, specifically in National Parks Way Kambas (WKNP).

Areas

  • Strengthening Management Capacity: SGP Indonesia strengthens national park management capacity through the establishment of multi-stakeholder forums, the planning process, the development of participatory management models, zoning, support for monitoring and reporting as well as knowledge documentation.
  • Law Enforcement: SGP Indonesia will give support for road checkpoints, ranger stations, regular patrols, community patrols, database strengthening, cross-border meetings, and training related to law enforcement.
  • Habitat and Species Conservation: SGP Indonesia will support forest fire control, ecosystem restoration, reforestation and elimination of invasive species, special protective measures for the preservation of superior species, and training needed.
  • Community Empowerment: SGP Indonesia will support community facilitators’ empowerment, activities related to community empowerment training, village land use planning, development of village regulations, and support in strengthening the capacity of community livelihoods businesses.

Funding Information

The maximum grant amount to be awarded for a successful grantee is EUR 100,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • SGP Indonesia invited all Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Indonesia to submit proposals for support funding in the form of Small Grants for the Conservation Program in the ASEAN Heritage Park (AHP) region of Indonesia, specifically in National Parks Way Kambas (WKNP).
  • SGP Indonesia will provide limited funding support for local or national CSOs, Foundations, or Universities/Research Institutions that have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystems (Dirjen KSDAE), Ministry of Environment and Forestry ( KLHK) or Cooperation Agreement with the Authorities of WKNP or Recommendation Letter from the Authorities of WKNP during the Cooperation Letter submission process.
