The Ebonyi State Government is calling on young Nigerians for the application of its 2022 Nationwide Medical Students Scholarship as we will be walking through the process and procedure on how to apply.

About The Nationwide Medical Students Scholarship 2022

Ebonyi State Government has established The King David University of Medical Sciences (AKA: David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences) Uburu, Ebonyi State, a world-class University together with Teaching Hospital/Medical Centres of Excellence.

To ensure that the institution takes off with the best of Nigerians and in the spirit of a united Nigeria, Ebonyi State Government is offering a Year Scholarship to 222 students for best candidates Per State in the 36 states and FCT in the following medical courses.

Courses and Amount of fees Payable Per Year

1. Pharmacy (Pharm D) – ₦ 2.5m

2. Nursing (BNS.) – ₦ 2m

3. Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) – ₦ 2m

4. Biomedical Engineering (B.Eng) – ₦ 2m

5. Radiography and Radiation Sciences (B.Sc) – ₦ 2m

6. Optometry (OD) – ₦ 2m

The aforementioned fees excluding feeding will be paid for the successful candidates for one year by Ebonyi State Government.

Ebonyi State Government has already offered 14 of her best indigenous students scholarships for 6 years to study medicine & surgery in this institution, even though Ebonyi State is not excluded in this new Scholarship award to the 36 States and FCT.

Requirements

1. Candidate must be a Nigerian

2. Candidate must apply for admission through JAMB in the 2021/2022 session

3. Evidence of ability to continue with self-financing from the second year of study must be shown.

4. All students of the institution must be boarding students within the school complex

5. All Scholarship and non-Scholarship students will be responsible for their own feeding.

6. All successful candidates will be expected to change their universities of the first choice to King David University of Medical Sciences (David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences in JAMB Portal), to enable the University to offer them admission

Application Deadline

The deadline for application is 23rd January 2022. Successful candidates will be invited immediately for an interview and admission.

1. Visit the University website at www.kdums.edu.ng

2. Click on “GUIDELINES FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD”

3. Click on “HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP”

4. Enter your phone number in the space provided and login.

5. Complete the form online and upload your passport photograph, WAEC/NECO and JAMB result, and State Indigene Certificate.

6. Submit the application form
