Chelsea receive Haaland transfer boost

Chelsea has received a transfer boost for Norway International Erling Haaland, who they have been trying to sign since the start of the transfer window.

According to a German journalist and Sky Sports podcast, Raphael Honigstein has revealed that Haaland was willing to listen to offers from Chelsea this summer to see if a deal could be agreed.

The German journalist stated:

‘I don’t think he knows where he’s going to end up,’ the journalist revealed. ‘I think the point from a Chelsea perspective was that I was sure he was very happy to listen to Chelsea.

‘And maybe to a certain extent encourage Chelsea to make an advance or see if a deal could happen.’

The striker remains one of the most sought-after players in Europe having scored 41 goals in 41 games and have started strong in the new campaign with two assists and one goal in their first match of the season.

‘He was never committed to going to Chelsea in recognition that next year he could have not just one club but five or six to choose from.’

Michy Batshuayi Signs New Contract

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has signed a new two years contract with Chelsea which will see him stay with the club until June 2023. He will now join Besiktas on a season-long loan for the 2021/22 season, agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Besiktas.

Neville praises Chelsea For Lukaku signing

The former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has praised Chelsea for signing Romelu Lukaku and also believe the European Champions will be among the title contenders this season.

‘They are going to be serious this season,’ Neville said. ‘They were last season but they’re going to be serious in terms of the Premier League.

‘Lukaku makes them very dangerous.’

‘For Chelsea, he will score a tonne of goals,’ he added. ‘He is perfect for that club. This time he comes with maturity, confidence, and hundreds of goals under his belt.

Chelsea Working To Sell Emerson

Chelsea are still working to sell Emerson Palmieri. Olympique Lyon are progressing in talks with Chelsea but Napoli hopes Emerson to wait for their proposal in the next few days. Chelsea are also in negotiation for Zappacosta to Fiorentina [with Lirola to join OM] or Atalanta as plan B.
