1. Monetary Policy Committee Urges CBN To Continue TCF Loan
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has in its last meeting in Abuja urged the Central Bank of Nigeria to continue its support to Nigerians through the COVID19 Targeted Credit Facility Loan, to ensure that more people benefit from the programme.
The Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of NIRSAL Microfinance Bank, Mr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kure, disclosed the new development while speaking on Awards received by the bank for its excellent services to Nigerians.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Godwin Emefiele said the Committee was impressed with the Targeted Credit Facility (TCF) “for its contribution to alleviating poverty at the grassroots”, Kure emphasized.
Individuals and families whose breadwinners lost their jobs as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 were among the recipients of the Household Loan under the COVID19 TCF.
2. 20,000 APSAN Members Benefit From CBN Loan Intervention – NMFB
Nirsal Microfinance Bank has stated that no fewer than 20,000 members of the Agricultural Produce Sellers Association of Nigeria (APSAN ) across Nigeria have benefited from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) loan intervention scheme in the agricultural sector.
The loan scheme which cut across, Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP), Targeted Credit Facility (TCF), Agricbusiness Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS), Non-Interest Target Credit Facility, and Nigeria Youth Investment Found (NYIF) was designed by the federal government in collaboration with NIRSAL to drive the diversification policy and mitigate the impact of covid-19 on the agric sector.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja yesterday, APSAN national president, Comrade Aloys Akortsaha tasked the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the fund to address their financial challenges.
3. NMFB Continues Disbursement Of Equipments To Non-interest Banking Window Loan Beneficiaries
Nirsal Microfinance Bank has continued the disbursement of equipment to successful beneficiaries of Non-interest Banking Window Loan as some of the beneficiaries continue to testify on receiving their equipment.
If you can recall, NMFB disclosed on their official social media accounts last month where they stated clearly that their approved vendors have started distribution of the equipment, urging beneficiaries who haven’t received theirs to be patient as they will surely get their equipment.
