The NMFB disclosed this on their official Instagram account where they stated that the shortlisting of successful applicants for the Non-interest banking loan has commenced and applicants have started accepting their offers.
All applicants are advised to start checking their text messages as successful applicants will be messaged stating the next step to take to complete their Loan request.
2. COVID-19 Non-Interest Loan Not For Only Muslims – NMFB Clarifies
The Nirsal Microfinance Bank has come out to clarify that the ongoing COVID-19 Non-Interest Loan for Nigerian affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic is not a religious affair.
This was disclosed in a public announcement on their Instagram account, where the management of the bank noted that the Scheme is for all Nigerians regardless of religious inclination.
NMFB however noted that an applicant of the Scheme must be adversely affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, must be aged 18 years and above, must possess a Bank Verification number, and must have been running their own businesses.
They also went further to clarify the public difference between the Scheme and COVID-19 Targetted Credit Facility Loan Scheme, NMFB Stated that the Non-Interest Banking Window for TCF and AGSMEIS focuses on assets Financing.
3. Nirsal Microfinance Bank Refutes Claims of Shutting Out 100,000 Loan Applicants
The Nirsal Nirsal Microfinance Bank has discredited the claims that it shut out applicants of the Agribusiness/Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS) by conniving with Entrepreneurship Development Institutes to extort money from the applicants.
NMFB described the claims that 100, 000 loan applicants from Anambra State were shut out of the scheme as, “malicious,”, noting that it has since inception disbursed N101bn to 26,274 farmers under the AGSMEIS Loan Scheme.
The bank also dismissed claims that it conspired with some Enterprises Development Institutions (EDIs) to extort money from loan applicants with the promise to grant them approvals for their loan requests.
