MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme For Blind Students in Nigeria 2021-2022

The Telecom Giant, MTN, has announced its Foundation Scholarship Scheme For Blind Students in Nigeria 2021-2022. The MTN Scholarship Scheme is an annual scholarship award that seeks to recognize and reward qualified vibrant and intelligent students which the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (MTN SSBS) is one of the scholarships.

The 10th year of the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students is specifically targeted at qualified 200 level blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).

About MTN Foundation

MTNF was incorporated in 2004 to drive MTNN’s various CSR initiatives commissioned in May 2005 funded by up to 1% Profit After Tax from MTNN for projects over N18bn has been committed to MTNF projects to date, over 550 MTNF project sites in 36 States including the FCT. Key focal areas developed in response to wide stakeholder engagement, in partnership with Government/multilateral agencies.

Objective Of The MTN Foundation

To complement and support the government’s efforts:

• In youth unemployment, and skills acquisition interventions towards national development and protection.
• In reducing poverty and social crimes in the country.
• To support the cause for improvement of technological standards.

Requirements for MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme

1. Candidates must be full-time undergraduates in 300 level/3rd year in public Universities, Colleges of Education, or Polytechnics in Nigeria.
2. Applicants from Universities and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.5 or its equivalent (2:1), while applicants from Polytechnics must have a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) and evidence of admission for the HND or Direct Entry Program.
3. Current Beneficiaries of other Scholarship awards are not eligible to apply

The MTN Foundation reserves the right to cancel or suspend a scholarship award if it is discovered that the awardee provided false information.
