It is primarily responsible for intelligence gathering within the country and for the protection of senior government officials, particularly the President and state governors.

The general requirements of State Security Service require that all applicants

• A higher institution degree.
• Candidates should be Nigerian citizen.
• 1.7m by male and 1.64m tall by female is allowed.
• You ought to be physically fit
• Applicants with past criminal records are not wanted.
