List of Phones That Won’t Have Access To WhatsApp Starting From January 2021

WhatsApp is working on a new update that will see older Android and iPhone devices not having access to the app starting from January 1, 2021. The users of these smartphones will have to upgrade their phone’s operating system version or face the penalty of using their phones without WhatsApp.

Some of the phones this new update will affect are any iPhone not running iOS 9 or newer, or any phone not running at least Android 4.0.3 also known as Ice Cream Sandwich.

This also means all iPhone models up to the iPhone 4 will be unable to support WhatsApp, as these phones are not capable of updating to iOS 9.
