Are you a COVID-19 SRD applicant? Has your application been approved for more than one month but you have not received any payment dates? If your answers to this question is yes, then you are advised to consider uploading your personal bank details on the SRD website https://srd.sassa.gov.za to update your bank details as this may fast track payments.
SASSA has high application volumes. Many people apply more than once. This delays the process as SASSA will only consider one application. Be a bit patient when using the system.
If your application was declined you have the right to lodge an appeal for reconsideration on the DSD Independent Tribunal website at https://srd.dsd.gov.za
The department of Social Development tribunal is attending to appeals. For any queries, candidates can reach the Department of Social Development Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals (ITSAA) at: Tel: 012 312 7727 / Email: [email protected]
If an applicant qualifies in that month of the application, he/she will be paid for that month & for the current month if they still meet the application criteria. The payment may not necessarily be a double payment/lump sum or on the same day. It can be split over days or weeks.
If your application has been APPROVED for May and June but haven’t received Payment due to a Bank Account dt closed? You will need to update your banking details to the one that is active. Please also ensure that the bank account is in your name, SASSA said.
