How To Apply For Pre-degree In Uniben
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) invites applications from qualified individuals for admission to its JUPEB Pre-Degree (Foundation) Studies for the academic year 2023/2024.
This distinguished university is well-known for its strong academic standards and dedication to intellectual development among its pupils.
Regarding the UNIBEN JUPEB Program
The University of Benin’s Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Program directs students toward earning a certificate that paves the way for Direct Entry Admission into degrees at the 200 level offered by the University and other institutions affiliated with JUPEB in Nigeria and abroad. This certificate is equal to the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC), the IJMB, and the Advanced Level GCE.
Upon enrolment into the Programme, each student will be involved in an intensive academic routine comprising three subject combinations pertinent to their intended field of study.
These subjects are divided into four courses, labelled 001, 002, 003, and 004. Each student will tackle six courses per semester, culminating in a total of twelve courses upon the completion of the programme. Furthermore, students are required to participate in at least two general studies courses (one per semester). Each course undergoes examination at the conclusion of each semester. However, the cumulative results of all the courses at the end of the second semester will determine a letter grade for each subject (i.e., A, B, C, D, E & F). The selection of general studies courses will be aligned with courses that are relevant to the student’s field of study.
