Babcock University, renowned private university in Nigeria, has started taking applications for its postgraduate programs for the academic year 2023–2024. Now, aspirant academics and working people can apply to a variety of programs that result in the awarding of Post Graduate Diplomas, Masters Degrees, and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees.

Modules of the program and admissions meetings

The University offers two unique program modules: the Regular Module, which runs from September to April each year, and the Elongated Module, a longer program offered over 50 weeks starting in July but taking place only on Sundays.

General Requirements for Admission Into Babcock University Postgraduate Programs

Candidates for the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) must have degrees from reputable universities or other credentials regarded to be on par with a first degree.

Candidates must have a first degree from an accredited university with at least a second class lower (2.2) division in order to be admitted to a master’s program. In addition to a first degree or HND, applicants for master’s degree programs may also be taken into consideration if they have a postgraduate diploma from an accredited university and a professional certification.

Candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree must have a strong master’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum average score of 60% or a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.00 (or its equivalent on a 4-point scale). Along with the application form, candidates must submit a well-researched, 10-page PhD proposal in the area of specialty of their choice.

Program Runtime

The PhD programs under the standard semester module require a minimum of six semesters, while the Master’s Degree programs demand a minimum commitment of three or four semesters (for example, MPH takes four semesters).

It is recommended for prospective students to apply online using the university’s portal, which is specialized for particular degrees and programs. The dates of the Screening Exercise, which will take place after the application submission for each module, will be made public.
