NITDA And Fasaha Digital Content Training For Nigerian Women

NITDA And Fasaha Digital Content Training, known as Gina Mata, Gina Al’umma (“Build up women, Build the community”), is a digital literacy development program designed to identify, prepare, and connect young women with emerging skills in the knowledge economy. The programme aims to integrate more women into the gig ecosystem and significantly improve girls’ and women’s economic participation in the digital space.

As part of NITDA and World Bank’s commitment to building the next generation of digitally literate youths, the Gina Mata, Gina Al-Umma Programme launch will be training 200 young women on Digital Content Creation.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age: Must be between the ages of 18 and 40 years

2. Location: Persons chosen must be Abuja residents and in Abuja for the training.

3. Gender: Only Female Applicants will be accepted

4. Must have basic knowledge of the computer or the use of mobile smartphones.

5. Must be available to attend classes without interruption for the duration of the 2-day training.

Programme Duration

The Gina Mata, Gina Al-umma “Building Women, Empowering Communities” pilot launch is a 2-day digital skills programme where young women will be integrated into the digital eco-system with digital Content Creation skills and E-lancing. The programme also has an affirmative session that will deliver Right based and lifelong learning sessions (Cyber/Online safety, Financial Literacy and Communication Skills) to make our participants globally competitive.

Key Dates:

1. Applications open: March 15th 2023

2. Applications close: March 19th 2023

3. Review of applications and selection of successful participants: March 16th — 20th 2023

4. Successful participants are informed: March 20th 2023

5. Training of the participants: March 21st 2023
