Job Title: HSE Environment and Licensing Manager

Job Description

  • manage the processes for obtaining and maintaining all environmental licenses and permits necessary to conduct TEPBR’s operations;
  • Management of the preparation of environmental studies, including EBS, EIA, etc. at all stages of the E&P process, from acquisition to disposal of assets;
  • Ensure knowledge, updating, and compliance with all technical legislation that regulates environmental authorization procedures for TEPBR activities.
  • Ensure knowledge and application of the principles of ONE MAESTRO as well as international standards for the management of the environmental aspects of activities (ISO 14001 and ISO 50001).
  • Coaching and support of environmental team professionals;
  • Advice and support to the TEPBR CODIR on issues related to the environmental legal framework;
  • Act as a focal point and maintain close contact with environmental regulators;
  • Manage the subsidiary’s environmental performance KPIs
  • Promote the creation and implementation of an environmental management system in accordance with Brazilian legislation, ONE MAESTRO and ISO 14001 and 50001 standards.

Context and environment

Brazil is a heavily regulated country with strict HSSE expectations. Therefore, adequate evidence of a robust management of environmental aspects to the authorities is a mandatory requirement for every operation. TEPBR Brazil is a strategic subsidiary of the group (200 kb/d share of the group, around 2025). His excellence in conducting his business in full compliance with applicable legislation contributes to the expansion of his operated portfolio as well as his growing loyalty to the authorities and partners, including those of OBO Assets. Excellence in HSSE/Environment enables the sustainability of TOTAL’s good reputation in Brazil while respecting the environment. An essential parameter that allows for the trust of the various stakeholders (government, strategic partners such as Petrobras, QP, Shell, Petronas, and civil society).

Candidate profile

  • Experience in the fruit and vegetable industry
  • Training in biology, geology, environmental engineering, oceanography, and chemical engineering.
  • An organized person with leadership qualities.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese (French is a plus)
  • Communication and adaptability in a multidisciplinary environment with good interaction with people
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology
  • Knowledge of regulatory monitoring systems (eg LEGNET)
  • Computer skills required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
