JAMB Increases UTME Service Charge At CBT Centres

Flippstack reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved that its accredited Computer Based Tests (CBT) centers should increase the service charge for a candidate from N1,400 to N2,000.

The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) made this known in its Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar on Monday in Abuja.

The board explained that initially, candidates paid the sum of N1,400 made up of N700 for mock-UTME and another N700 for the UTME.

“Henceforth, partnering CBT centres will collect the sum of N2, 000 as service charges from candidates sitting for both the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and mock-UTME.

“In essence, candidates who did not indicate to sit for the mock-UTME will pay only N1, 000 for the UTME while those who want to sit for the mock UTME will pay an additional N1000.

“This is irrespective of whether they sit for the examination or not,” it stated.

JAMB Releases Result of 2022 UTME: How To Check JAMB Result 2022

Flippstack reports that the Joint Administrations and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Abuja, disclosed it has released the results of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Following the completion of the JAMB UTME 2022 examination which started on Friday, 6th May 2022 and ended on Friday 13th May 2022, the board has released the result.

This online platform gathered that the board in a statement, Saturday, directed candidates who sat for the examination to check their results by texting “Send UTMERESULT ( one word) to 55019″ to have their results.”

“To check the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, all a candidate needs to do is to simply send UTMERESULT to 55019 using the same phone number that he/she had used for registration and the result would be returned as a text message,” the statement read.

JAMB Explains Why The JAMB Result 2022 is Not Yet Out

1. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB, has explained why the results of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, or UTME, have yet to be released.

During a meeting with the National Youth Service Corps management and Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria on Tuesday, JAMB Registrar Prof Ishaq Oloyede stated that JAMB had yet to issue results owing to internal appraisal.

2. This year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, or UTME, has 54,000 candidates from Kwara State.

On Tuesday, Ahmed Adio, Chairman of the Kwara State Television Board, announced this during a courtesy visit to Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, Vice-Chancellor of the state University, Malete.

3. JAMB has disclosed that about 1.4 million candidates have so far sat for its 2022 UTME across the country and their results would soon be released. JAMB said the results are undergoing a form of scrutiny before being released to candidates. This was contained in the weekly bulletin of the board.

JAMB commended the conduct of the examination so far, saying it “commenced on a very commendable note.”

Flippstack reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said results from the first batch of candidates who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Friday and Saturday will be out next week.

Why 2022 UTME Candidates Failed To Write JAMB Exams In Lagos and Ogun

Flippstack gathered that hundreds of candidates for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Lagos and Ogun states were left stranded and frustrated on Friday morning at some centers as downpour and system glitch disrupted their examination.

In centers monitored in Lagos and Ogun, candidates scheduled for the first session at 7am were mostly affected by system glitches and downpours.

One of the candidates in Ogun who spoke with NewsOnline Nigeria lamented that over 200 of them were unable to write the annual exam because of technical issues.

The candidate, Oba Timilehin, said he arrived early at his center at Mountain Top University in the Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State but was unable to sit for the examination.

He said, “The first batch which was supposed to start at 7am ate into our time. Eventually, when we, the second batch, wanted to start around 10am, the officials said the network was bad and we couldn’t sit for them the exam.

“The center said the problem was from JAMB and the whole thing was disrupted. My batch had up to 240 candidates and we all missed the paper.”

JAMB UTME 2022 Commences Nationwide, Featuring 1.7m

Flippstack gathered that JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) 2022 examination has commenced today 6th Friday nationwide as scheduled and over 1.7m candidates take part in the examination.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) stated that the examination would be conducted for 1,761,338 candidates that successfully registered for the examination in 755 registered computer-based centers.

According to the Head Media JAMB, Dr. Fabian Benjamin said in Abuja that the board had put in place all measures to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.

Fabian said that all candidates would be checked into the examination hall, using the Biometric Verification Machine (BVM), which is also a register of attendance in line with the Board’s policy.

JAMB Issues Code Of Conduct To Candidates Ahead Of 2022 UTME

Flippstack reports that JAMB has issued a code of conduct to candidates sitting for the forthcoming 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME) slated to hold between 6th and 14th May 2022.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reminded prospective candidates of the need to adhere strictly to examination etiquette, warning that a stiff penalty awaits anyone who runs foul of the laid-down rules and regulations governing the examination.

The Board reiterated its zero-tolerance for examination infractions and other unwholesome practices that could undermine the sanctity of its examination.

JAMB Sends New Warning To Candidates As Examination Date Draws Closer

JAMB has maintained its initial call on ‘no biometrics verification, no examination’, meaning all candidates would be checked into the examination hall using the Biometric Verification Machine (BVM) which was also a register of attendance, in line with its “No biometric verification, no examination” policy.

The examination body also said, “Candidates are also to note that no examination would be rescheduled for whatever reason.

“Therefore, all candidates are advised to prepare ahead and stay close to their examination venues, if possible, they should pay a prior visit to their centers before the date of the examination.

”Candidates are also reminded that the ban on prohibited items is still in force.

”Therefore, candidates should be careful not to run foul of the law as necessary sanctions would be meted out to violators of its code of conduct.

“The list of the banned items within the examination hall includes but are not limited to; flash drives, smartwatches, calculators, recorders, mobile phones, spy reading glasses, jewelry, among others.”

JAMB Officially Opens JAMB Reprint 2022 Portal For JAMB Reprinting 2022

JAMB reprint 2022 portal has finally opened for JAMB reprinting 2022.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), on Saturday, April 30, 2022, directed all candidates sitting for the upcoming 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to immediately commence the printing of their notification slips for the exercise with effect from Saturday, April 30.

This online news platform understands that the opening of the JAMB reprint 2022 portal is coming after the examination body has explained how the candidates can print their notification slips, which is compulsory.

Flippstack reports that this disclosure is contained in a statement issued by JAMB and signed by its Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in Abuja.

In the statement, JAMB said that all candidates,] who registered for the 2022 UTME could start printing their 2022 UTME notification slips from Saturday, April 30 ahead of the exercise.

The board also said that printing of slips could be done at any available internet point, private or public, while adding that candidates were to visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng, click on 2022 UTME slip printing, insert registration number and print.

What JAMB is saying in the statement

”The notification slip is available for printing by all candidates who had registered for the 2022 UTME scheduled to hold from Friday, 6th May, 2022 to 14th May, 2022.

”Printing of examination notification slip is compulsory for all candidates, as it enables them to know the venue, date, session and time of their examination.

”All candidates are advised to print slips on time so as to know the location of their examination centres, date of their scheduled sessions and time of the examination beforehand, especially with the adjustment in examination schedules this year.

”This would guide them in making necessary arrangements ahead of the exercise as the board frowns at lateness to its examination and no excuses would be entertained from any candidate, as a stitch in time, saves nine.”

The board further said that the slip contained candidates’ important details such as, registration number, examination Centre within their chosen examination town and the expected time to be at the centre.
