The International English Language Testing System also known as IELTS is not as difficult as some have thought it to be. The amazing thing is that, not only is the IELTS not difficult, it is also easy to pass.

Should the petition be granted or not, there are some things that are important to note before you decide to write the IELTS.
What is the IELTS?
The IELTS is a test conducted by the British council in partnership with other bodies to assess prospective international students and immigrants in Australia, Canada, the UK, etc.
It is accepted by schools in the UK, Canada, Australia and over 3000 schools in America. So, if you are planning to study in the US, ensure your schools requires IELTS before taking the exam. Many have made the mistake of assuming IELSTS is generally acceptable in all the colleges in America.
How To Get A Good Score in IELTS Exam
The IELTS have four stages namely; the writing, reading, listening and speaking sessions. No stage in the IELTS is beyond your capacity as long as your mode of instruction in primary, secondary (high school) and the university is English Language.
Self-Practice
You should self-practice! This is so important even if you have a study centre or group. Self-practice has shown to be reliable among many students taking the IELTS. The good news is that you can self-practice on the IELTS website.
Fortunately, we now have mobile devices which means you do not really have to be in your room with your PC before practicing.
Self-practice gives you the opportunity of testing your readiness before the set date for your test. This means you get to see your score for each session, try again until you master it.
Have A Clear Score in Mind
There are some students who do not fancy the spotlight. These students do what is required and simply anticipate a moderate score. Whereas, there are some who tend to go the extra mile because they want the best result.
The IELTS score ranges from band 1 to band 9.
In order to be considered for an admission or whatever reason you are writing the IELTS, you should look at a band score of 5 to 9. And here’s why:
5 – Modest
6 – Competent
7 – Good
8 – Very good
9 – Expert
The IELTS test is taken in over 100 countries, which is the very reason you’ll do well to impress by setting a score for yourself and achieving it.
Importantly, you should do well to ask a lot of questions from those who have taken the test before. One mistake that is currently made by IELTS taker is that they assume what the test should or shouldn’t be.
Don’t do that! Ask questions and apply the steps highlighted above and you are good to go.
Success!
