The exchange rate for a dollar to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) players buy a dollar for ₦575 and sell at ₦580 on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022, according to data obtained from Bureau De Change (BDC).

The local currency depreciates as the exchange rate for today opens at 575.00 per $1 at the parallel market otherwise known as the black market, today, Tuesday, 22nd February 2022, in Lagos Nigeria, compared to 570 per dollar it opened at the beginning of this week, Monday 21st, 2022.

Even though the dollar to naira opened in the parallel market at ₦575 per $1 todayFlippstack reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognize the parallel market, otherwise known as the black market. The apex bank has therefore directed anyone who requires forex to approach their bank, insisting that the I&E window is the only known exchange.
