NITDA Digital Skills And Entrepreneurship Program 2022

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is calling on Disabled Nigerians residing in South-South, Port Harcourt, Rivers State to apply for its 5-Day Empowerment Programme on Digital Skills and Entrepreneurship.

About NITDA

NITDA is a Federal Government Agency established to develop and regulate Information Technology (IT) in Nigeria. The GITEX event is one of the biggest tech events in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa and it also boasts over 4,500 exhibitors, 400+ active investors, and 150,000 trade visitors from 140+ countries that participate at the 5-days global tech expo and conference.

Who Are Eligible To Apply

The program is open to all Nigerians that are living with any form of disability residing within the South-South. It would focus on the clusters of Persons Living with Hearing and/or Speech Impairment, Persons Living with Visual Impairment, and the Physically Challenged Persons.

Objective Of The Programme

Below is the objective of the programme:

1. To facilitate and enhance Digital Inclusion among the participants

2. To give effect to the implementation of Strategic Roadmap and action plan (SRAP) initiatives focusing on Digital literacy, Digital innovation, and entrepreneurship

3. Give insight on a series of IT tools that implicitly support creative and innovative learning

4. To enhance participants’ Digital literacy, internet research skills, and presentation skills.

At the end of the training, participants will be provided with working tools and should be able to:

• Use IT in creating sustainable employment
• Empower 30 people living with disability with digital tools.
• Enable persons living with disability to become self-reliant after digital empowerment.
