About National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP)

The National Home Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) is a government-led N70 per day school feeding programme that aims to improve the health and educational outcomes of public primary school pupils. It uses farm produce locally grown by smallholder farmers to provide children with nutritious mid-day meals every school day.

The programme links local farmers to the education sector by facilitating their access to the school feeding market. It is the federal government’s effort to feed 5.5 million schoolchildren in grades 1 to 3 a nutritious and balanced meal.

Requirement For NHGSFP Application

1. Candidates must have completed their first year of high school (FSLC)

2. A WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or Grade II certificate is required, as well as a National Certificate in Education (NCE) with at least (5) five credits in arithmetic and English language.

3. Applicant must be a naturalized Nigerian citizen with a valid ID card, such as a Permanent Voters Card or a National ID Card from NINM.

4. Communication abilities are required. English is my first language.

5. The applicant must not be registered in N-power or FTS at the time of application.

6. Cultists are not permitted to run for office.

7. The candidate must not be in any way financially disadvantaged.
