1. Hope heightens as NASIMS Starts 2021 November Payment to Beneficiaries

The Beneficiaries of the Npower Programme took to their various discussion group and forums of social media to share their story and how excited they are. They commend the management for November Payment and equally ask them to pay December stipends also.

As it is at the moment, since the Npower batch C stream 1 beneficiaries commenced duty at their place of primary assignment PPA since last year October 2021, they have so far received 3 months Stipends including September Stipend. Payment of December and January will make it 5 months.

According to Nasims, while they don’t take comfort from the inconveniences caused by the delay in payment, Kindly note that payment of November payment process does not mean all FAILED October payments will be ignored. While the current payment is in progress, all FAILED PAYMENT issues as regards the October stipend is being worked on and payment is made upon resolution regardless of the reason.

We did it during the September payment despite the inconveniences caused by the payment delay, we will still do it again, as your payment entitlement will not be denied, Nasims said.

2. Sadiya Umar Farouq Attends North East Development Commission’s (NEDC) Consultative Meeting

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq, was present in the North East Development Commission’s (NEDC) Consultative Meeting which she shared the outcome of the event on her Facebook official page.

“Earlier today I was the chief host of the North East Development Commission’s #NEDC Consultative Meeting with Federal MDAs and Security Agencies on the North East Stabilization and Development Masterplan”.

“I am pleased to state that the #NEDC has not been static and continues to leave its footprints across all the North-Eastern states with its life-changing projects and programmes. Despite being in the process of developing the Master Plan”.

“It is important to note that our strategic focus at the Ministry now is the provision of coordinated sustainable humanitarian action centred on the global best principle, the ‘Triple Nexus’ approach. This is anchored in a home-grown National Humanitarian-Development-Peace framework developed through a consultative process aimed at reducing vulnerabilities to support and promote peace and stability in Nigeria.”

3. FG Approves November and December Stipend Payment

Following the approval of November and December Stipend Payment to the Batch C Stream 1 Npower beneficiaries by the Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouk, the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) has initiated payment for the month of November 2021.
Many beneficiaries of the Batch C Stream 1 Npower Programme have seen the November Payment marked as “Pending” on their NASIMS Profiles today, Friday, Jan. 2022.
The activation of the November Payment process is part of the efforts of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development to clear all outstanding Stipends owed to the beneficiaries and normalize Stipend Payment Calander for the beneficiaries.

4. Ministry Flags Off Training Of 37 Master Trainers For N-Skills Programme

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farouq has flagged off the training workshop for 37 Master Trainers for the N-Skills Programme, an arm under Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme N-Power, has commenced in Abuja.

Declaring the training session open, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Sadiya Umar Farougq said that the N-Skills programme targets marginalized and disadvantaged populations, including those with primary or no-formal education.

According to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr Bashir Nura Alkali, who represented the Minister, stated that the 37 Master Trainers will later coordinate the training of 6,475 youths selected from the 36 States and FCT.

The Ministry worked with experienced training service providers to carefully select those to be trained today as Master Trainers. We expect these Master Trainers to effectively play their role of coordinating the training of the target beneficiaries of the N-Skills programme in their respective States and FCT. We target marketplaces and other informal places as well as the streets.
