FMARD Update: Collation of Bank Details For The Fertilizer Subsidy Grant Is Currently Ongoing

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has come out to remind all farmers that the collation of bank details for the fertilizer subsidy grant is currently ongoing, thereby urging farmers to use this opportunity to open an account and provide their Bank Details.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) disclosed this in a recent post on their official Instagram account.

FMARD also made it clear that for a farmer to benefit from the Fertilizer Subsidy Grant, he/she must get a bank account with any bank of choice and provide assigned enumerators with his/her bank name and bank account number.

According to FMARD:

Dear Unbanked AFJP Farmers,

To benefit from the Fertilizer Subsidy Grant, kindly get a bank account with any bank of your choice and provide our assigned enumerators with your bank name and bank account number.

Farmers who haven’t supplied their bank details to FMARD should kindly move swiftly to do that in order to benefit from the fertilizer subsidy grant.

We also reported previously that AFJP farmers receive less than N6000 as Fertilizer Subsidy Grant. The farmers enumerated under the Agric for Food and Job Plan (AFJP) Fertilizer subsidy grant will soon begin receiving their Fertilizer grants as the federal government intensifies efforts to rectify all hitches hampering the commencement of the disbursement.

According to a confirmed Statement by State statistical report on the distribution of the enumerated AFJP Farmers across the federation indicating Farm Size, Amount of Grant etc as released by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), each of the eligible Farmers will receive a fertilizer grant of N3,000 to N5,000 depending on the size of their farms.
