FG Starts Disbursement Of Covid-19 Survival Fund To 200,000 Nigerians

The Federal Government has started disbursement of Covid-19 Survival Fund to 200,000 urban poor senior Nigerians that do not have access to regular income and are impacted by Covid-19.

This was disclosed by the Coordinator of the National Social Society Net Programme, Iorwa Apera, on Monday in Abuja.

According to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management official, he noted that identified beneficiaries were authenticated by their respective communities.

Apera also made it known that 4 percent of 35 million poor and vulnerable persons in the national register in 36 states and the FCT were elderly persons.

Two million individuals, categorized as senior citizens, were aggregated by location, education, age, status, disability, and sex.
